This weekend both Courtney and Josh went to Homecoming. Josh went with a girl from youth nights and Courtney with a friend from choir and a classmate of Josh's. They had dinner, went to the game( which we lost terribly) and then to the dance! Was a good time for all here are some pictures:
Saturday we had a soccer game in Russellville- Justin had a late game in the afternoon and then on the way home as always we had to stop at Feltners What-a-Burger...great shakes and burgers!!!
He is number 23.
Also I don't know if I have shared with you my new baby or addition to our family...Allie Mae!She is a Pomimo which is a half breed of Eskie( American Eskimo) and a Pomeranian. She was the runt of the litter and so cute so we are keeping her! My husband said it is my present for our anniversary.
Hope you all had a great weekend!

The Weekend
This weekend was full of sporting events for all the kids. Friday night started with a 6:30 soccer game for Justin. He did so awesome he really was going after that ball. I think playing football has made him more aggressive actually, not sure if he is really trying to get control of the ball or take the guy out!haha
Saturday we were up early at 5:00 am to get Josh to the Conway Gym by 5:30 for him to get on a bus and ride 3 to 4 hours North to compete in a Cross Country run for Conway. We didn't get to go since Justin had football that morning as well, a Jamboree. Josh did great! He ran the 5K course they had in 19:25 ( I may be corrected on that time!) but he is under 20:00 and has a goal of getting under 18. He came in 6th overall on the varsity team. So proud of him.
After their taking of 1st place in the meet!! Go Wampus Cats!!
We spent the morning with Justin at the Jamboree and then headed over to see Katy at Hendrix as it was "Family Weekend" where all parents and siblings come to visit Freshman. It was fun, Katy played volley ball on a team of 3 other boy basketball players...they lost but had a great time!!
Courtney pretty much relaxed and hung out with friends this weekend and of course is as pretty as ever!!!
We cooked out and spent the day all together Sunday..Katy is still moving more stuff into her apartment, it is a slow process!
Hope everyone had a great weekend like we did!

Well here is the first post!
Okay I have never done this before so here it goes!
Today my Sophomore college daughter moved into her OWN apartment with her college dorm roommate! Milestone is all I have to say............and very strange. I knew that if she was in the dorms there was always the possibility that she would be coming home for the summers , which meant I would have all my chickens back under my roof for at least a few months. But now I think that won't be happening she is growing up and moving on to the next phase of her life. It is bittersweet to see her growing and maturing, but as a mother you wish they were still little and need you every second to help them along the way. Now I look forward to those precious phone calls every few days of "Hi Mom! Just thought I would see what you were doing......." or " Mom I don't know what to do, I need your advice." Or the ones where they are tearing up and crying because they just want to talk, and you to listen............I guess as parents we are always needed, however the need is just in a different way!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
